Anybody tried a cluster from a tj? They look like the same shape and same connection style? Just wondering if anybody has done it? My cluster is slowly dieing and a buddy has a tj cluster I could get.

I am wondering the exact same thing. My 96 XJ 2 door (5 speed) has a 2.5 and I want full guages,,, not moran lights to inform me about impending doom. The 2.5 dash guage set should work in my opinion for what I have found and heard. Might need a lil maneuvering to get it secure but it "should" work.
I'm gonna try it anyway this weekend,, will post back here. I started a thread on the same issue. a day or so ago.

Yeah those can definitely be swapped. you just have to switch sensors with it. I think the OP meant swapping a 97+ wrangler cluster into a 97+ cherokee. they look almost identical but with different color/style numbering.
