Default Gasket Questions

Alright Guys, some motor advice is needed. I'm a wrencher type but not so much with motors. I have searched and searched and searched!

About a month ago my Jeep overheated, and made a decent sounding POP. Nothing leaked that I saw, and has been running okay ever since. Now I'm noticing that my coolant has been disappearing slowly but surely.
I recently did an oil change and didn't notice anything milky. I also just did a (semi) coolant flush where I replaced 2 gallons of 50/50 antifreeze.
This is where my problem starts, I'm now getting white smoke, a decent amount, ONLY when I start my Jeep.

I'm praying its not a crack in the head, If it is I have a 96 that I can pull the head from. My plan at this point though is to replace a few gaskets. I'd just like to see if my parts list is complete for the job.

-New Head bolts
-Head Gasket
-Valve Cover Gasket
-Intake Manifold Gasket
-Exhaust Manifold Gasket
-Torque Wrench

Is this right? Thanks for the help guys

Seems about right. The gasket could be breeched at the exhaust portion of it allowing to burn off. Just remember to follow the guides on torqueing the bolts down do it in stages dont just jump right to the max torque. If you take your time and follow the guides you should be fine. Dont over torque.

That's definitely a good start. You MAY find something unpleasant when you get the head apart though. Just a forewarning. But let's hope it's just the head gasket that needs replacing

Hopefully when it overheated you did not let it heat seize before realizing it was running hot.

Definitely take the head to a machine shop to be checked out.

I've got a shop close by that will resurface or whatever its called incase of warp for $60...they have a few options as far as heads go, but I'm wondering if that $60 would include a cleaning? I'd hope they wouldn't just plain it and leave the rest of the crud on it.
So I'll probably pull the head from the 96 first and take it to the shop and have that one cleaned up just in case I find something wrong with the head, or just swap anyway?
I don't want to get a new head and the 96 had 160k where as my head has 212k on it.
And I'm definitely following the guide and buying a torque wrench before the swap.

Also, I just started getting a tick, it sounds like when you put a card in your bike spokes, but it only happens right before the AW4 shifts, and for like 6 seconds...lifters/tranny?

You can pretty much ignore this. Didn't some late 99 get 0331 heads? BUT maybe that would mean coil pacs, (no distributor) as well.

"my coolant has been disappearing slowly but surely", Is what I gather the cracked 0331 does.

I hope on the drivers side top edge it has 0630, not 0331. see>
