Default Fuel Pump Issue, help

Can't get my jeep to start. No fuel coming out from fuel pump. Just replaced it. I can hear it turn on but no fuel comes out. Disconnected the fuel line hose going to the fuel pump to see if any gas would shoot out when key is turned on but nothing. So power is going to it but fuel isnt being pumped out. Is there some kind of reset fuse/relay/switch or something?

yes i have an initial spark. I had my dad look while I try to start it, there was one spark, kinda yellowish (weak) then no more.

Yes but the fuel pump should still pump out fuel during those three or so seconds. we did it with my other jeep. disconnected the fuel line going into the fuel filter then turned on the key. fuel starting shooting out. but with this one im working on now, nothing is being pumped out

the module will not allow the fuel pump to pump if you not getting spark

im talking about the fuses under the hood. at least in mine (94) its on the passenger side behind the battery. the two most left fuses are fuel pump and aux fan. you can switch them. i doubt it will work but u can try.

bad thing about ours the 87 thru 89 you cannot hook a scanner to it to get codes it could be the crank sensor or the map sensor the ignition module or the coil do you no any body with a nother xj around the same year

funny you mention 87 because i have another jeep which is an 87 pioneer. we changed the fuel pump because it stopped turning on period.
