fuel pump?

Angry fuel pump?

1996 JEEP CHEROKEE COUNTRY 4.0 HO. Even though i show 3 codes PO108, PO118, PO171 MAP Sen. Eng coolant temp sensor, O2 Bank 1 sensor.or these 3 sensors may fix my problems. Dont know yet. Im still leaning toward fuel pump. Heres Why...It Starts good but when u give it gas it has hesitation especially if you floor it. Will run at normal speed 50 55 takes gas slowly but u can hear a pop threw the breather/throttle body from time to time as you are giving it gas but does good for about 8 9 miles. Cut it off go in store come out, start it and it miss bad barley will run. cant hardly push the pedal down or it dies but then will die at idle anyway. Once it dies it wont start. Like NO FUEL OR NO SPARK wont even try to hit. but then you HAVE SOME ONE pour gas down the throttle body little at a time,cap your thumb over pop bottle slight opening. while i crank it and pump the gas pedal and it finely picks up and will start and run, takes about a inch or so of gas b4 it will finely pick up and run on its own. Does good normal speed home except if flooring it to pass. boggs down at first then will finely pick it up. does same thing giving it gas setting still. So even with the 3 codes is it my fuel pump TOO??? PS... Does this modal have a Security System? cause when it starts then dies and then wont star it acts like something has cut off all fuel and Ing/fire. but i have a push button start. key still gives power when turned on. Did this once b4 but after setting 20 mins or so it started up without pouring gas down the throttle body..without doing anything. Please help people. Im on low limited income i need to know excatly what it is when i buy the parts. I have cleaned all grounds new plugs, new air filter, new gas filter, took off throttle body claned it good, cleaned iac,tps spayed staring fluid ck for air leaks. None, no motor rise. Please Help...This is all i got to ride...

And while you're at it, you might want to try breaking up that mass of words into paragraphs. Not many people are going to want to try to wade through that solid block of text.

I'd lean more towards the MAP sensor. You said it's throwing a MAP sensor code. A bad MAP sensor will cause the thing to run badly, and act like it's running out of gas, etc. It's an easy enough fix, so I'd start there and see if that fixes anything.

The P171 code is indicating that you're running too lean, which could again be because of the MAP sensor. Replacing that may eliminate the O2 sensor code.

I've had fuel pumps fail intermittently, but generally it's not predictable, or follows any kind of a pattern. If nothing else fixes it, you should throw a meter on the fuel pump, to make sure it's operating properly, before going through the process of replacing it.
