Hi, I'm the new owner of a 1988 Jeep Cherokee V6 4.0L, I purchased it for $500... Before purchasing there was a problem with fuel leaks from the fuel injector O-Rings and from the fuel regulator O-Rings. I replaced all the O-Rings and it stopped all the leaking fuel from those areas.

My new problem is fuel leaking from the Fuel Supply Line right at the connection to the Fuel Rail. I was thinking I was gonna have to replace more O-Rings, but I was told that particular connector hose has no O-Rings. (Photo Below)

Can anyone give me any suggestions as far as how to solve and repair this issue? Whether I should replace that particular hose or does it involve replacing the Fuel Rail?

Hey there. I lived in Laguna Beach in the early 70's....I think I saw in another post you can get that fitting at the regular auto parts.

 

It's a quick disconnect with o-rings not unlike the one on the fuel pressure regulator. I believe the part number from Jeep is 83502545. Napa has them, too, in 5/16" and 3/8". Same as a GM.

 

Wow, a 4.0 V6? where'd you find one of those? here in the states the only 4.0 in these is an inline 6, or the 2.8 V6! Lol, Sorry, Couldn't resist. But yeah, it isn't a V6
