Default Fuel hard line to fuel filter soft line

I'm removing the old soft lines on both sides of the fuel filter to replace and I'm not sure if this is a place where a disconnet tool is needed or if it just pulls off. When the PO had the pump replaced the person used stainless braided hose. What is the correct size hose? Thanks in advance.

No disconnect is needed. 3/8 and 5/16 are the correct sizes. I got two feet of each, would've been fine with one foot of 5/16 as I only used about 3 inches. Here's everything I used.
