Default Fuel Filter Location

So I am prepping for some work when I get home in a couple days and was wondering where my fuel filter is. I have a 1996 Country. I am using this write up, https://www.cherokeeforum.com/f51/re...96-lower-5314/ , but am having a hard time understanding exactly where it is.

Will I see it if I remove my front driver's side tire maybe?

Thanks!!!

I can't say for sure on your model but mine has a sock on the pump and the only way to get to it is to drop the tank

Does that apply to the 2000 model as well?? I was thinking of replacing my fuel filter but couldnt locate it. I do see a black box looking thing with fule lines going in to it in the area above the rear axle in the drivers side. Is that where the filter is located??

One more quick question... I'm at stock height. Am I going to want to jack it up?
