Default Front wheel bearing question

So my passenger front wheel bearing is grinding, do I need the entire hub assembly? Or just the bearing? The hub sells for $100 and the bearing kit is about $15. Any help is greatly appreciated.

The hub has to be pressed apart and bearings replaced,I am not sure what the machine shop will charge but it will end up being close to the cost of a new hub.
You can get one at the your jy for cheap proabably.

I would do both at the same time,if it were me I would get the whole hub assembly, make it faster and cheaper in the long run.

I was afraid of that. Looks like a new/used hub it is. I can handle the dis-assembly and all that. Thanks guys, I appreciate the quick answers! This is one of the better, if not best Cherokee forums.

On my ZJ I replaced both sides hubs/bearings at the same time with new assemblies and was done with it. I wouldn't go through all that work and install used bearings. JMO

My guess is he means a state that salts the roads in the wintertime, thereby drastically increasing the occurrence of rust.

Correct. I live in Michigan, and they salt every winter. Not only do I have to battle with the age of my Cherokee, I have to compete with the rust and corrosion.

Here's a good example of the rust belt term.
