Default Front DS U Joints

Needing some clarification on Spicer U Joints for my front driveshaft.

For the front joint at the differential, I know I need a 5-153X. However, it has a grease zerk on the cross - will that clear in the double cardan? Or are there different U joints that go in the CV?

Thanks!

Should work. I've seen plenty of greasable u joints.

Got three greasables from O'riely, don't recall brand, but they were greasable, uses a needle greaser.

Thanks for the info.

Found the Spicer 5-1310-1X with the zerk fitting on an end cap. Will be using those in the double cardan.

I use the 5-153X on my DS with low-profile zerk fittings for extra clearance. I have to use a needle tip on the grease gun, but that's not a big deal really since I still have to drop the shaft from the transfercase end to reach the centering ball zerk. I'm just really uncomfortable with the fitting on the cap, whipping around looking for something to hit

Fair point. Is there a non-greasable alternative? I'm not opposed to those either.

The Spicer 5-1310X is the 1310 size non-greasable, I used those for all 3 front driveshaft U Joints
