Front DS conversion
I have a 87 cherokee with 2.5 and 4 speed and a 207np tcase. The front ds had a cv joint at the transfercase. It went bad so I went to a jy and got a DS and yoke from a 231 tcase. It has the double ujoint style ds rather than cv. It is much heavier too which I like. The yoke fit my tcase ok. The new DS is too long. I can have it shortened I know but the new one does'nt have much travel in the slide. maybe 3 inches. I just want to make sure this is a good way to go. I would think that I would need more than 3 inches of travel. Here are some pics to help you get what im trying to say.
thanks for your help!!!
