Default Front Driveshaft?

I recently bought a project XJ, its a 1999 classic with a 4.0 auto tranny 231 Tcase, and it did not have a front driveshaft.
I looked and found a few answers of 30.66" length for the front shaft, is that true?
Would this shaft work?

Thanks for the help!!
Also it has a 3" RC lift with 1" spacer up front and shackle in the rear for a total of just over 4", stock shaft still okay? Its not going to be beat on, I just want to have 4 wheel drive working before the snow starts to fly!

It's from a ZJ, so it will be a little bit longer than a stock XJ shaft. It 'should' work, but I would go out and measure center of yoke to center of yoke on your rig, and make sure it's not shorter than the collapsed length of that shaft.

ZJ shafts are about 2" shorter than an XJ shaft.

Stock XJ shaft is 32" in normal ride position and 30.5" fully compressed.

That is weird. Some misinformation out there then, as I've seen multiple people suggest ZJ shafts for lifted rigs as they are longer. Good to know the truth!!!

They use the ZJ shaft with a hack and tap because you have to shorten an XJ front shaft for it to work.
