would it be sketchy to tap and die my diff cover fill hole? then plug it with a big bolt or something and seal it off.

I found a good write up for replacing the pinion seal. the only thing im not really clear about is what you have to mark so that everything lines back up and matches correctly when you reinstall it.

i didnt but in some cases it will throw the driveline balance out. you can if u want if not it wont hurt too much if at all.
