Default Rocker Panel Replacement 95 XJ

It looks like I can buy aftermarket rocker panels for my 95 Cherokee, but I'm not sure how I would replace them. I assume they need to be welded? Don't have any welding equipment but I wouldn't mind buy some.
Should I buy them and try to get a shop to do it?
I really need to replcae them, I'm concerned that I will fail MA state inspection with rotted rocker panels.

I did mine without any welding. Drill out the old welds and use a pneumatic hammer to bust out the old rockers. I then cleaned and preped the car side of the rockers. Then used rivets and 3M paneling compound to put new rockers in. Was a tricky job but I could'nt be happier with the results.

Thank You for posting this. i think I will try this. Not sure if it will come out as good as yours did but I need to fix it to pass MA state inspection.
