on my 87 xj my front axle will not engage.
the green hose is broke(vacumm)
so i did what someone told me and take the fourbolts off the fork housing move the fork over to were the smooth what i want tosay bearing.
not over the gears.
and it still will not engage.
it is a 6L renix.

the broacket that holds the fork idk i will take a pic or something.
like behind the passenger wheel there is the fork and housing for the fork well they dont have it.

so that means they dont have central axle disconnect.. they are non discos im pretty sure then... anyways just moving that fork over yourself doesnt tell the transfer case that it needs to go in 4 wheel.. so you moved the fork over and put it in 4 wheel and it isnt spinning all 4?

i put it in the sleeve and then put it into 4wd and it only spins two.
i then put the fork over in the sleeve as its in 4wd nope no spinning.
my friend said his dad did it to there and put like a bolt init or something. and its held up in his 200+ miles.
i then tried taking the bracket turning 180 putting the fork in to the sleeve and then put it in 4wd nope
i then tried taking the bracket turning 180 putting the fork in to the sleeve as it was in 4wd and nope

the bolt thing is to keep it locked in all the time i seen some article on it in jp magazine.. is that green vacuum hose sucking? if it is plug it and see if it engages while you move the fork over
