I'm not too far south of said border. Maybe I should start an axle fund and plan an out-of-country trip. I've never been to Canada, just Central/south America.

They are a bit cheaper in the south as well. My 44 and 60 were $500 and I know where several sets of 44 and 9" combos are for around $400.

After some more thinking and reading through you guys thoughts, i think a beefy D44 and D60 are going to be the choices for the build... im gonna go dump diving in the next few days and hopefully i can come up with some. If not, looks like craigslist may be the route and just buy an old junker

the best part about getting a doner truck is all the hidden goodies you can salvage from the rest of the truck.. and you have ALL the info on what the parts are so you are standing at carquest going "well it's supposed to be..... but the brakes don't fit"

I got my d44/9" combo for $150 and there are many sets that go for that around here and d60's go for about $1000-1200.

Where is around here I'm looking for a hp44 for my front
It's been hard since I have a stock 44 rear and don't want to run custom shafts
