front Axle

I have 89 jeep cherokee 4x4 limited I am not usig front gear can I remove front axle?

um? You could remove the front driveshaft, the axles and ring gear with carrier could be pulled. Is this for fuel economy? I just did my conversion this summer and have really not noticed any worse fuel economy.

Yes, you can remove the front axle. It would be a good idea to install some kind of front axle though.
