Are there some details missing here???? I pushed the conduit all the way in, shifted it back and forth between park, reverse, neutral, drive, and it was shifting very very hard. So I pulled the conduit all the way back out, not even sure where it was in the first place. Guess I'll just have to go through all the notches till I find the sweet spot huh?
Actually I re-read the directions and I guess mine is not ratcheting into the correct spot. Don't know how that works??
Tried it again, I see what you mean, when you open the TB it pops into place, but for me it still did the hard shifting....

Should the remaining cable be tight? cause it has some side to side movement. And i cant tell is the conduit is out all the way cause it seemed to go further out then where it was to begin with. Is that right? What if it is all the way out and still loose?

When the throttle is fully open the cable should be tight.

How is it that this is helping some people and hurting others? Are you guys pushing the conduit all the way in, or just enough to take out the slack in the cable????
Wow.. that worked! Mine had to be manually adjusted as it did not self correct. It racheted one time and sat up to high causing no downshifting. I manually adjusted the peice out while holding button until snug on wire at WOT

i did this a little ago, if you have a haynes manual it says in there how to do it also, but it definitely helped alot, i noticed it stays in 3rd longer like up a hill instead of jumping around trying to find the right gear
