Default fog lights not working 2001 cherokee sport how to troubleshoot

2001 jeep cherokee sport just got it . fog light crushed on passenger side. Switch lights up but the fog lights don't . Toubleshooting help required as well as how to change the bulbs.

If the fog light is crushed, it's likely the fuse is blown. Check that first. Do NOT under ANY circumstances put a larger fuse in there! Use what is recommended.

Actually, if you find it blown, you need to replace the crushed light before you even try to replace the fuse. If it's shorted, you'll just blow another fuse.

If the fuse is NOT blown, you need to see if you have power getting to the lights themselves.

My recollection is that there is no relay for fogs so the switches tend to burn up. But yes I'd try the fuse first.

where is the fuse located?
i have two spots in the PDC for fog 1 and Fog 2 for relays

all fuses appear to be good by visual inspection.

Visual inspection doesn't cut it. Get a test light or a meter. Even a $10 Harbor Freight or Wal-Mart meter will do what you need. You cannot hope to troubleshoot an electrical problem without tools.

replaced both fog/driving lights. one did not work. no test light swapped them and the other one worked. problem was oxidized connector.

MAKE SURE CONTACTS ARE CLEAN BEFORE TROUBLESHOOTING ANY FURTHER
