Default Fog light switch

How do I pop out my factory fog light switch to rewire it?

In an '88 remove the dash trim, should be 4 screws to remove, pop out the trim piece below the steering column then pop the entire thing out. After that remove the screw on the piece that holds the switch, then from behind it's just sorta clipped in there, unclip it.

Be extremely careful taking the dash bezel off. Its a pain and it scratches the hell outta the steering column. I would lower the steering column somehow. I had to take mine off very slowly and I still got a few scratches.

I took it off today and looked around, it was pretty easy I just couldn't figure out where the wires led to I put it all back on before I broke something

You could just do away with the factory wiring and rewire it. Unless you wanna keep the factory wiring?

My friend mentioned just splicing into the factory switch wiring but that seems like a lot of extra work to follow and find a good spot to do it so i'm just rewiring. And thanks lurk your thread did help
