Default Fllor pan installation

I know this topic is widely exhausted on this forum and on other online resources.
I just want to ask three (dummy) questions:

1) How are the floor pan replacements (see attached pictures) connected to the structure: are they welded or bolted with screws? How are the junction lines sealed?
2) Once I remove the carpet I would like to be sure I have all the parts: are those 4 panels all I need or do you suggest to replace also other parts?
3) I found the parts attached at Raybuck.com. Has anyone used them and had any surprise/issue with those? I have a '98 XJ sport 4 doors.

Thanks a lot!

1. welded then seam-sealed and paint, undercoating or bedliner.
2. you are good to go.
3. Raybuck is where I got my front drivers-side, you should have no issues.

Ok, finally today I lifted the carpet and I got a clear picture of the situation.

Rear floor pan is still good. Frame is good.
Front floor pan is gone, I ordered replacement from Raybuck.

However the first issue is with the cross beam where the seats are bolted on. I think this is what you called "seat riser". See attached picture. Can I buy a replacement for that, too? or I need to fabricate something?

Second, I noticed there is rust also above the rear wheel and removed the plastic cover. I quickly discovered all 4 wheels the thin metal part holding the 4 plastic wheel covers are totally chewed up by rust.l (see picture). How are these parts called? Can they be replaced?

Thanks a lot

They are called fender flare brackets, retainers, or braces depending on what site you are on. Crown makes them. Also I see that they are in stock on various Mopar sites. Thing about the Mopar sites is that they say they have things, you order them, you get a confirmation for the order, they come for their money real quick, 2 days later you get an email saying they don't have them, and it takes at least another 2 days for you money to be put back. Mopar ones are more expensive then the Crown ones. Figure you get what you pay for but they are just brackets so......
When you go to take those nuts off in the wheel well that hold them they most likely will snap. I had this happen but my brackets were still good so figured out a way to replace the studs and nuts for about $4 on all 4 of my back brackets. Also remember that each wheel has two. Front and back. So 8 total for all 4. A couple of them might be a little bit of a challenge to find. See the first link. So no listing for left or right front fender front retainers.

Here are the Crown numbers for the 2 that are missing:
Front Left Fender - Front Retainer 55155677AF
Front Right Fender - Front Retainer 55155676AF
Those part #'s I found here:

Obviously I have done a little poking around concerning this. LOL.

Ok folks, Floor pan should be arriving tomorrow and this weekend I will do the welding job.

I found an old frame of a road post that has exactly the same shape as the seat risers.

I wanted to ask just one safety tip, since I will be welding the floor pan, I want to make sure I am clear of the fuel lines.

Where are these located? Should I put in place some shields? If yes, any suggestion?

Thanks

Fuel and Brake lines run from the engine compartment to the rear of the vehicle, typically along the inside wall of the frame rail attached with small clips. Typically on the driver side on XJs. And yes, you may find that you need to shield them if you are working around them with a welder.
