Default Flex plate cover??

okay so went under the jeep today and my flex plate i guess lower dust cover is completely missing!! and i dont know how long it has been off and should i look at anything else to inspect before i slap another one on? it does look a little dusty on the giant gear.. and lastly what is the bolt size and thread i need on it thanks!!

sorry ima noob when it comes to tranny work..

Are the nuts and bolts gone or was it torn off

It's not really sealed up or anything. At the most it will keep neighborhood cats from crawling up in there to take a (last) nap. Just get one and slap it on there.

LOL. Reminds me of a funny story or two at the dealership involving animals and engine bays..............

Pulled the lower splash shield off a Renault 18i to have a dead squirrel fall out and hit the mechanic square in the chest. I guess when the squirrel went through the belts, one flew off.
