So I was driving on the freeway when the trim on my windshield that runs along the passenger side A-pillar ripped itself up. How should I get it back down? Just glue it? Get a new molding? Thanks!

If it is still in a usable condition I would just replace the plastic clips and install it the correct way. When you go glueing trim on like that it retains water in the pinchweld and sometimes speeds up the rusting process.
In all honesty if you know how to remove it you can just rob a few clips from under other pieces and you wont have to buy any. Just be careful because they are plastic and will break if you look at them hard.

PM me if you want some clips. I am in SD (technically Santee) and I have a whole box of the plastic retainer clips. I'll give you what you need to get that sucker back on.

like a few others i have been looking for a source for the trim clips other then the stealership, any suggestions for a source other then ebay? website or real world
What did he do? Put the rubber seal trim in instead of the chrome trim? I personally like the rubber seal style more than the chrome trim....
Well, if you need them ALL, then you should go to the 'net. Let me see if I can figure out where I got my box from. I don't think there are that many left in there, or I'd donate them to you.

I appreciate it, no i suspect he did not know the trick or have the little hook either... based on other things i have found and fixed or upgraded i was not really suprised when i had the windshield replaced. The glass shop did not have any clips and i thought they would be easy to find locally...
used the google shop search and the 1 result i came up with looked sketchy to me
