I finally got started building my front bumper today. What do ya think so far? Any suggestions? I plan on building a grille gaurd, putting in a 2" reciever, and places for 2 d-rings to hang.

I like it a lot, seems like you've got a good vision for where you wanna take it. Planning to paint when it's finished?

I'm gonna put the reciever in so if I get a winch sometime i'll make it so it can slide in the front or the back reciever hitch. The license plate will cover it up until then. My plan is to roll bedliner on it like I did on the rock sliders i made.

How are you mounting them to the unibody?

Looks great. I like that you went with the wrap around style. Looking forward to some finished pics.

Is there a standard pattern or template for the pieces that connect to the unibody? Or does everyone kinda work it out (design it) by jumping right in?

Thanks guys, I'll put more pics up as I make more progress on it. Not sure when I'll have time to get more done though.

Plans? Haha the only plans I have are in my head! I looked at the C4x4 tapered bumper and thats what I am kind of going for. I could take some measurements if you guys want and post them. I'm using the factory mounting holes and then I ran some flat steel farther back on the unibody and caught some more holes. I'll get some pics of that sometime.

It's all 1/4" steel so far. I would halve liked it a 1/16 thicker, but we had all this 1/4 just laying around the farm. I'm going to brace and gusset it up pretty good.

looks pretty darn good! so how much for another one j/k you'll have like 10 people asking for one if you say yes...

but seriously it looks good and I'm jealous that I don't have a welder to make my own stuff

Well, first of all Happy Easter, He is risen!!

Got my bumper pretty much finished up. I ordered some lights, so I'm going to wait to put the bedliner on it until I figure out where I'm going to mount them. I'll put up a finished pic first then some others.
