thanks a bunch for the pics. these will really help tomorrow when i check those out. Im prayin a little that maybe the swap was already done, but hey, worse comes to worse, I will take it to the mech, have him do a test for leaks, and if all goes well get the new parts I need and Viola! AIR CONDITIONING. Lol as for the windows down part, my old man and I have a saying..
"If I have something that will make me more comfortable, then dammit I will pay a few extra dollars to use it" lol

Lol Im sorry but I just gotta say I love the bit below your comment. The whole "My Jeep doesn't leak.. It marks its territory" That's just too funny

well.. I have r12. Not only are the ports like ones on a bike tire, but also a sticker on the compressor that clearly says "R-12" I wish there was a way around this lol. O well. Im gonna get the h-balancer replaced then work on the a/c.

Cherokees built after 1/1/1994 all have R134, anything before that build date used R12.

real quick, when you go to turn on your a/c, there are three options; a/c----MAX a/c, and bi-lev

What is bi-lev??

Bi-lvl means the blast of (hopefully) cold air hits you from the upper in-dash vents and the foot level heat vents at the same time.
