Few electrical probs.. (Power locks, room light, clock & etc...)
Hey guys
Re. My Jeep Cherokee 1995 4.0L
After I installed new car stereo without any trouble, there was suddenly some whistling sounds (sounded like air leak) behind the "heater control" so I took out the car stereo out with the ignition on just to check whats wrong.
Pushed in the connector behind the heater control and problem solved but while I was putting the car stero back in (which was a bit of struggle due to stuffed wirea behind it), there was a very slight "electrical" buzz/spark sound and then following component stopped working,-
- Electric mirror
- Central locking
- IR remote
- Clock
- Room light
- Trunk room Light
- Glovebox light
- (maybe more...)
Believe its only the fuse thats gone, but what do you guys think? Could be any other causes?
If its just matter of replacing the fuses, could someone help you out please, as I have never changed any fuses before. I looked at the Haynes manual but it doesnt explain so clearly...
Many thanks for your kind help in advance!!!
Best regards
Jay

I checked my fusebox as per https://www.cherokeeforum.com/f2/95-...se-panel-4373/
and got a feeling the fuse 09 and 13 is out...
anyhow I bought & replaced the fuses as per above thread but didnt work.. noticed the original fuses that were in there were a bit different i.e. 09 fuse was "30A 32V" and 13 "25A 32V"...
Anyone have any clue why the ones in my car is a bit different to the diagram? are they easy to get?

check under the carpet on the drivers side. there is a wire harness under there that your feet rub on... my harness was completely worn through and I am in the middle of cutting out all the burned wire, and soldiering in new wire... long enough to re-route the whole harness under the dash where it should of been in the first place.
anyway, I had the same symptoms.. check under the carpet and see if you have the same issue...
