Default A few bugs with the new Comanche

Hey guys
I got this old comanche running like a top. One thing it keeps doing is a bad shudder when coming to a stop. Between 5-0 mph. The shudder goes away with it in oneutral. Any thoughts on what it can be? U joint, torque convertor, or maybe a tranny or engine mount??? Thanks guys

I'd start there.

Isn't there a switch (a white one) on the brake pedal that disengages the TC? I might check that it, and it's wires are OK.

I thought the white one with the electrical fitting and vacuum fitting was for cruise control only...........

How about a bad trans mount causing the exhaust pipe to "ground out" on the transmission/transfer case crossmember? Time for some "noggin pokin'" under these Jeeps.

No vacuum fitting and no cruse. A trusted member here posted that it stops TC lockup. I don't know myself but it sounds plausible. Might add a level of safety making sure you stop OK!

It's a cruise/trans switch with a vacuum dump valve. Look closer... And yes, it does control torque converter lockup.

Oh, and one more thing... I stole your photo!!!!!!!!!!!

Could be as simple as it being misadjusted.
