Fender Flare Attachment
Last weekend my right rear tire and the plastic fender trim had a battle and the plastic trim lost.
Actually, the two brackets that hold the trim onto the body got damaged and I had to buy new ones.
Now, I don’t know how to reattach the plastic trim to the bracket. It sort of looks like the trim snaps into the bracket but I can’t get it to and also, it looks like the old one was glued to the bracket.
Not sure if it should have been glued or if that was hacked up by the PO.
Advice?

The two metal bracket pieces are attached to the fender. You have to put them on a keep them loose until you put the flare on. The flare gets pushed between the metal bracket and the fender. there are 3-4 tabs on the flare. those site in the little tabs on the bracket. You push it in all the way around and then tighten the metal bracket the rest of the way from inside of the fender well.

I find the best way is to put the fender flare on the brackets first. You will position the little tabs on the fender flare to the corresponding slots on the bracket. They will snap right in and stay secure. Then bolt it on the Jeep all in one shot. Don't forget the anti-seize for if you ever have to remove them again.
