you can always throw in a Procharer supercharger.. and get what you need... just need to find some space under the hood.

Default Supercharger

Superchargers I have definatly looked into, the only thing is that I have yet to find one that is intercooled, and jeeps dont exactly run that cool. I also dont know if you have to change hoods due to clearance issues.

Well then both my jeeps, my uncles vette and my dads dodge must just all be special. No Light still, some of these were done years ago and they still run great. Not to mention on my 96 I had an 02 sensor before and after the cat and still no light.

yeh! have you give some shot to supercharger? or maybe some nitrous. It can give some speed.

I hate to say it but with what a new supercharger kit costs, you may as well sell your current jeep and buy a grand cherokee with a 5.9. I seriously thought about it,
But I'm going with beefing up the internals to run reliably pushing a 75 shot of nitrous (all I'd feel sane working with stock drivetrain components).

Go old school gear it really low or really high, one = great top speed but no off the line power, the other, vise versa. A two wheel drive with the 8.25 rear could take this stock and take most trucks off the line but only for a bit...

Buy this. I promise, you'll beat everything you encounter on your drive to and from Auto Zone.

I concur. Unfortunately he doesnt want to break the bank. Or you could go buy a 98 Grand Cherokee 5.9L limited. http://www.edmunds.com/jeep/grand-ch...suv&style=9080
