Nobodies here to laugh at you, this is the tech thread, you ask questions we answer, I was in the same boat as you couple years ago.

The IAC is mounted on the back of the throttle body(where the intake tube goes), if you are looking from the front of the vehicle it is on the back right of the throttle body.

Ok I just cleaned the tps,and put a new gasket under the tb( I removed a tb spacer a few days ago,which is for sale btw)and everthing is working fine now! thanks again!!!!

Bro I fixed my jeep I had the same problem. I found a cracked hose. The one on the map sensor that goes in to the tb

Crazy how these things are so tough and dependable and little things like this make me crazy because I know its something simple and that most likely its gonna get me home anways, like it allways does

Yeah,I tightened up the tb bolts( I had removed a tb spacer recently) and cleaned the tps sensor,works fine now

I am having a little trouble out of mine as well. I cleaned my IAC and it did help it right out, but after a day or two, same problem. This time, I just took the pos batt cable off, and after 15 seconds, I grounded it, and put it back on, and it has done fine...... well, for a few days, then had to pull the cable off again. I think it is not reseting itself on mine, which is an 89 4.0 auto. Any suggestions here too would be appreciated.
