Fast Answer! Canyon rims and 31s on an XJ
I'm going to look at a set of 4 Canyon wheels for $50. I was doing a quick search online looking for pics of them and I found a tread on another forum where they were talking about the wheel making the tire to close to the rear leaf springs. I am running 15X7 "Basket" wheels on my XJ now (stock for a 97 Country or limited) with 31X10.5 15in tire. I thought the 8in wide wheel would put the tire out some not in. Anyone know for sure?

what you need to know is the backspacing.

I know that much..do you know the back spacing of a Canyon wheel? Its 15X8 so I assume its from a TJ. I just measured the backspacing of my 15X7in steel spare and that was (by my measuring method...which I will use on the new wheels as well) 5in. Now, I was told all 15X7 OEM jeep wheels are the same. So my current aluminum wheels should be 5in as well.

Thanks to everyone for the replies. I did end up picking them up for $50. They are in great shape. One has a little rock rash but nothing major. They actually stick out 3/4in and in 1/4 according to my measurements. I might need to readjust my bastard packs and maybe grid a little off the side of the overload leafs to get them back away from the tires but I think they will work.

When I got my ravines (set of 5+tires for $100 TOTAL!) I had clearance issues with the rear sway bar. If you have the same issue, no problem, just remove it and enjoy your new wheels!
