Farkeeeen thing still wont start!
I got a dead body..........rust free............400000kms...........ran fine.......shut it off...........now it wont fire, wont start, I'm ready ta shoot the damn thing...............it ran fine ,parked it, now..........nada, not even a hint , just crank crank crank, aaargh. 1986 inline 6 auto, I like the jeep but man its confusing unda da hood! Wha ta do where ta start? Heeelp ma fella's. Adam.

U gettin fuel past the injectors?
Cuz i literally JUST replaced my
crank position sensor, nothing happened.
**** still just sits and cranks.
I also replaced my ignition module.

Check for spark by removing a plug, keeping it attached to the plug wire, placing the plug electrode near a good engine ground and having a buddy crank the engine while you watch. You are looking for a strong, blue, snapping spark. Yellow/orange/white indicates a weak spark, which may not be strong enough to start the engine.
If spark checks out (and only IF), then try spraying a small amount of starting fluid or a small splash of gas into the intake. If the engine starts and runs momentarily, you have identified a "fuel delivery" problem.
The above tests are both easy to perform and will help you isolate this. You need to find out what you're missing. Spark or fuel.

yeah, but there's not sea between here and there... unless he has an imported jeep.
not sure man, can't help ya with this one.
check for spark, fuel and air. maybe pour a bit of gas in the carb/throttle body.
pull the dist. cap and see if the rotor turns when you crank it...
