Fan comes on right away...
Fan comes on soon as key is turned even just in Acc. Is this a temp sensor bad, or another issue? Thanks

That's what it sounds like. Might as well take a trip to the store and buy one that's under warranty. Put it in and if it doesn't change anything, take it back

Is this a new thing or has it been like this since you have owned the vehicle?
If it's always been like that, then the PO probably had overheating problems and hot wired the fan to an line that's tied into the ignition so the fan always ran when the key was on.
If it's new then definitely check the relay.

bought like that from the PO, I will try the relay tomorrow. It crossed my mind that it was intentional. Could that effect gas milage being on all the time? And its annoying as hell.
thanks

my sensor failed and instead of putting a new one in i wired mine into the key on switch a while back so i would run cooler while wheeling in slower paced runs. after a month or so of it always running i decided it was not beneficial. also a fan that runs all the time does not allow the engine to reach the correct temp. and this can cause problems with bearings if ran for extended times. so i ran fan off a toggle switch so i control when it comes on. where i live and cooler temps i hardly ever have to cut it on in fall/winter mths. and i dont have to worry about relays or sensors anymore. if its not in relay or sensor just bypass all that and run it off a switch. i mounted mine parallel to the rear def heater switch and used another heater switch from a junkyard. reason being its prewired for illumination lights and looks factory. snaped right into place

Going to get one today. I was wondering why I never get to 210, then I found this issue. I hope it is the relay. Thanks guys
