Default Fan blower motor out?

My climate control fan is making a weird humming/buzzing noise, is this the sign of the motor giving out? Its still pushes air just fine, just makes weird noises.

Yes! Replace it before it starts blowing fuses on you.

Yea, learned my lesson the hard(and $$$) way. It hummed/howled for about 3 weeks then finally quit working. Before it blew the 30a fuse, it melted the "brown plug" on the back of the fan speed control switch on the dash, burned that switch out and burned up the resistor to where i've only got 2 speeds now. Hindsite is 20/20 and I remembered saying, "I'll just run it till it dies then i'll worry about it!"

I found another non-melted brown plug in the junkyard(took 7 Cherokee's to find a non-melted one). I spliced it in, bought a new 18$ switch at Napa and replaced the fuse and blower motor(20$?).

I haven't replaced the resistor(like 40 bucks I think), because the two speeds I still have are the ones I use. Low and High.
