fan bearing hub
the fan pulley is squeaking like crazy on my 88 mj 4.0. with some research I found out the bearing is pressed into the bracket and not the pulley. so it looks like I need the whole bracket. I have heard that is is expensive at the dealership and no one else makes it. Does anyone have any more info on this? A part number or anything?

No part # at this time... I have the same thing going on but have a good one from a part-out to replace it with. The dealer and rockauto are wanting 250 to 350 respectively, so yeah it is pricy.

If it's the same I can get you the part number for it tomorrow. Is it the same or not?
Edit: It spins good by hand. Never heard it spin on a motor. I've got some electric motors in the garage...I'll see if I can rig something up to spin it faster.

20 bucks at upull here all day long.
I had a old one and figured that ill see if I can fix, well pressed out the bearing assembly and tried to seperate the bearing will.... the case exploded and bearing when off like missles. Well the case is a two piece case that had lips on each side that are groved into the hub its self. So yes it can be fix but for 20 bucks ill just get another one or just throw a electric fan on instead.

Just saw an 88 mj at the junkyard with the bracket you are looking for. The bolts for the ac compressor are sideways instead of through the top like the one I have. Poor thing was wrecked in the front left. Could easily be fixed with a front left fender, bumper, headlight, left fender flare...etc off a parts xj or converted to new clip.. Was a 5 speed too.
