Anyone ever used the factory t-case skid plate? I got one today free just gotta bolt it up and haven't a clue where it goes just yet..Anyways just curious as to how durable they are?
Should be fine for mild wheeling. He!!, I don't call what I do mild, and I do not have a t-case skid!! You'll be fine!! Bash it!! What's the worst that can happen...wait don't answer that!!
sorry man i woke up late and had to come in to work right away and now its dark. it sits diagonal from the xmember to the unibody rail on mine i dont have any picks for you though i apologize again.

No sweat bud.. just when ever you can snap a shot I would be very thankful.. that way I can see how it fits and try to replicate that on mine..This came off an 89 or 90 model and mines a 91 both with a 242 t-case so it should fit..

This isn't the factory skid plate but very similar. The factory skid plate bolts up pretty much like this:

I got mine sitting still on the table cause my frame didnt have nut serts for it. I see you just dropped the bolts down the X-member for the middle, but did yours have nut serts on the d-side.
When i did my aftermarket skid, i didn't have them either. I used self-tapping bolts and it worked out well.
