Default Factory Crossmemmer Bolts

I'm trying to install a TC Drop. I noticed that the factory bolts are 2 bolts and 2 nuts. How do you get the other bolt off/out so that all the bolts go in the same...

Either tack weld the nut on the stud or cross thread nut on stud on and remove it. Make sure you use some heat on bolts and studs so you do not break the off in the unibody.

Nooooo dont do that to that stud use 2 bolts for the back put a nut on the stud from the unibody channel to the drop square stock then use another bol to tie the crossmember to the square stock. Sounds weird I know but it works.

You gotta heat up the studs to melt the locktite and then use a pipe wrench to twist off the stud. I didn't have a torch so I used my dremel and shaved two flat sides on the studs for the pipe wrench to grip and that heated it up enough for them to slide right out.

I think the bolts are 10mm x 1.5 pitch.

I live in michigan so mine were rusted in and would not turn either the bolt or the stud that is why i use heat first because if you break them off you have to drill and tap or cut the floor open to fix it.

heck mine came out when i tried to pull the nut off so i dont think there that tight anyways... but if any of the 4 bolts keep turning nd turning when you go to stick them in... they wont hold... mine spun and spun and i just said screw it... a week later my crossmemeber was hangin on only by one side... bolts fell out... the rear bumper bolts to the frame are the same though... but they just spun and spun once tight so i just ran a bead on the crossmemeber and frame... its good now... screw trying to mess with fixing it... im sure i will one day when the trannys gotta come out...

i tried this on both of my studs and it stripped the nuts. It doesn't always work. The nuts are not made of very strong steel and strip easy.
