Hey guys... I was wondering if I make and weld a Exo cage to my frame, will it still be street legal? I wanna avoid getting pulled over as much as possible...
Thanks,

well I have some boys that wanna make it for me... They made my bumper for me outta 3/16" and took maybe two days to do! Do you know what a good gear ratio is to run while wheeling? I'm gonna put a 8.8 in the rear end and don't know if I wanna run 3.73 gears or 4.56... Advice?
they are not illegal for street use there are no laws about them that i have seen and nothing saying you cant have a exo cage. its a tad overkill for street use dd but go a head and do it and check local laws online before starting but i have never herd or seen anything about exo cages

If the fuzz gives you any nonsense about the cage it will likely be for 2 reasons:
1. Obscured vision- Make sure your design doesn't block your view in any way.
2. Unsafe Vehicle violation- total bs btw, A cage increases your vehicles safety, just make sure it doesn't block any portion of the vehicle affecting entry or exit. I'm with A1, while I've never seen any laws about a lot of stuff, CYA and check first. If you can't find it online, or the fuzz doesn't know, go to your local DMV or inspection center. If you find it online print it and stick it in your glovebox so if you do get pulled over you'll have the cop dead to rights, and hopefully drive off scot free. Post up pics if you do it
