Noticed a gasoline smell under the hood over at the passenger side. Sniffed it down to some cracked hose running to (or from?) the EVAP canister. Not sure, but do this hose run all the way back to the fuel tank? And does anyone know what they are called (need a new one)?

Nope, no smell in the cab, only when popping the hood after a drive.

 

Okay thats good. If you smelled it in the cabin you would have more problems added on to your current one. Have you ordered a replacement hose?

 

What would cause a smell in the cab, injectors leaking profusely?

No, no replacement yet, trying to figure out what it is called or if I can use some kind of gas resistant rubber hose?

 

It could mean many things. Injectors is one of the possibilities but there are so many. I can try to find a list for you? Go to autozone or an auto shop and buy a jeep cherokee guide. It tells you what all the parts are and how to replace them.

 

No need, but thanks tho, I'm 99% sure it's this hose causing the smell – it's pretty rotted thru. I do have the FSM and some Haynes but I can't seem to find the name of the hose.
