I waz good?
Yea Gary?.. matching frequency is an issue..or just put something out like cow pie bingo! (if it's correct and applicable) There I go with all that punctuation and multy-syllable words. I gotta add a thanks in here somewhere. Thankyou!
Just.....yea, besides bad news with the pumps, at least one guy got one bad injector from Airtex. (out of 6) I don't even know what Napa gave me, but in 6-7 years, it's pumped a small fortune in gas. (still pumping)

So I got a new Bosch pump and put it in today. What do you know...fires right up and no blown fuses! Thanks again. Moral of the story? AIRTEX IS CRAP.
Though, does anyone know how much gas the tank can hold without spilling when the fuel pump is taken out? I thought I had less than 1/4 before, but now it shows higher than 1/4 after putting the old assembly back in. No gas spilled out of the hole when I took it out. Had to use the old pump assembly (Bosch was $300+!!) so either my fuel level floater thing got bumped around and is misreading, orrr I'm tripping and its where its supposed to be. How can I tell besides just running out of gas and seeing where the needle is at? haha

Got my Napa pump in 06. The old one stranded me in the rain while my Mom was dieing in the hospital...I didn't happen to check the brand on the new one!
Really can't help you Jeep allot...I've seen 1/4 tank posted, but it sort of LOOKS to be a bit above 1/2, (on my 90). I might just fill it and run it and see. I think it holds 20 gals, so if it's at 1/3 it should take around 14....

Ha...you definitely learn more if you have to figure it out on your own rather than someone just telling you the answer.

Hey there everyone, I'm new to Jeeps, new to this forum, and new to working on vehicles in general. Firstly, this forum and a few others have been a HUGE help so far, so THANK YOU. Decided it is time to reach out and post up since my 93 XJ has been stranded down the road last 3 days.
The problem: replaced the entire fuel pump assembly(Airtex) about a week ago, drove fine for a few days...right before it stalled, I noticed a few misfires/hicups when I revved a little at idle right after starting. 5 minutes later there was 1 more hiccup and it just stalled while driving. No check engine light. I can hear the starter spinning and battery gauge says about 11-12v, but I don't hear the fuel pump turn on. Tried to jumpstart..nothing. Switched the fuel pump relay w/another one...nothing. Bypassed the ballast resistor...nothing. Everything seems to be working ok except the fuel pump isn't turning on. Any ideas why it wouldn't be turning on? I have a suspicion it may be something electrical since I don't know how a fuel pump could be installed wrong...is there something I'm missing here?
Tried to check engine codes, but can't get it to display for some reason...turned key off>on 3 times but the parking brake light, upshift arrow and check engine light just stay on.
Some background: this Jeep has been having stalling issues since I got it a few months ago. Its a 93 I6 4.0 HO w/ax15. Found the CPS was melted from touching exhaust manifold; replaced. Did complete tune-up: cap, rotor, plugs, wires, air filter, oil & filter. Cleaned throttle body. Replaced fuel pump & fuel filter. Added Lucas fuel injector cleaner.
Any help much appreciated, need to find some leads so I can get this thing off the road!
