First of all if this isn't in the right forum, please direct me to the right one(Thank You). Any help any one could provide will be GREATLY appreciated.(If this doesn't sound technical, I apologize my father is the mechanic. I'm the idiot)

I have an 88 jeep cherokee limited. We tore the engine apart to replace the head gasket. The head was reconditioned and it's back on. Now we are not getting a spark from the plugs and fuel gets to the fuel rail but not to the injectors. We replaced the crank sensor as someone suggested but nothing. We checked the plug the sensor plugs into and nothing it's not hot. Someone had mentioned to me about the alarms that are on jeeps or is my computer bad?

We're stuck and don't know where to go from here

 

How did you check to see if you had spark at the spark plug? and at the injector. I take it that the engine cranks over just fine correct? and all other electrical works.

 

yes all other electrical seems to be working. He checked it by putting a screwdriver on the plug and didn't get anything.

 

Do you have power coming from the coil?
When you check spark try pulling a plug leave it in the wire boot, see if you get spark thru the plug. But check to see if you have power coming from the coil.

 

At the injectors we had a fuel leak. So we readjusted the fuel line and it stopped. We tried bleeding the line at the fuel rail and nothing came out.

 

yeah there was no fire in the coil either

 

Could it be two difrent problems? Do you hear the fuelpump in the gastank when you turn on the ignition?

 

Check to see if you have power to the coil, if you do then I would check out the coil and replace it if it's bad.

 

I know the fuel pump is working because you can hear it
