Probably not the issue, but worth looking into.

Check out the wires and the ignition switch in the steering column. Maybe something is loose, or a wire that was spliced before is now disconnected.

I would turn on the Jeep and leave it idling (leave it in Park), and start wiggling the wires, bumping the ignition key. See if it shuts off.

Also check your ground connections in the engine bay, making sure they are tight and clean. The same for your battery and alternator wires.

It is easy to do and doesn't cost anything.

Good luck.

Hi there all,,and a special thanks to dac612,,,
i change the fuel pump,, and as I lie under the jeep (maybe som of your guys have the same experiance) in my age,, you take a look at this and that... so I found the mistake !!! it was some electric kabel in the near of the transmission hanging down and scrub blanc, becouse he has conection to the drive shaft.... anytime when he contact it, he create a short circuit.... thats all ! so I spend a lot of time and also money in new parts,, here in germany araound 700,-€,, and the proplem can fixed wit a littel tape and some time to fix it right so there can not be get in touch with anything....
thanks for all your help in this forum and I hope I can come back... Have allways enought fuel in the tank, and space under your Jeep..
