engine runs too cool-expert advice needed
I bet the air seals around the core and on the damper doors are leaking. Air flowing around the core instead of through it and a damper that isn't sealing might account for some of the heat loss. A partly clogged core probably the rest.
I suggest a good drano-flush. Crystals, not the liquid crap. OH I'm KIDDING.
Although I did see that discussed on the internet, lol.

Elevated case temperatures eliminate oil shiver, reducing engine knocking and vibration while lowering molecular goose bump formation to nearly unmeasurable levels. This revolutionary coating also assures Fram's continued good looks, often outlasting the engine it's attached to. In fact we guarantee it.
Fram. You can't buy a better filter with our name on it. "
Yeah, OK....I made that up, lol.

"Fram's revolutionary "Insul-Grip " textured coating disrupts the airflow pattern ordinary filters experience, leading to faster engine warm up, more consistent oil temperatures and longer engine life.

Close to a 25 degree loss?
