Slight engine misfire between 50-60 while trying to accelerate on the highway/up hills. The engine kind of bucks and misses.....no lights go on, temp is good, runs fine otherwise. Thoughts?

Could be a simple tune up fix. I had a rig that did that and found 1 bad spark plug wire. It fixed it.

Check your fuel lines and filter...
I recently had a problem with my 90 that was a ***** to resolve. It started as just a miss, but then kept getting worse until I couldn't keepo the motor running. I burned through some money replacing sensors and such until I pulled the fuel pump and the little section of hose INSIDE the tank was rotten... Not saying thats your issue, but its could be as simple as a clogged fuel filter.

Fuel pumps aren't cheap. Do a tune up like said before, you cant go wrong. Do the fuel filter as well. If your parts are fairly new then you'll have spares.

I need to look under the hood...hahaha. I believe the plugs/wires new, that was what the previous owner told us, and the wires looked it, when I bought it in Sept. So...possibly fuel. I know a few colder mornings she took a little to start, and I know that can also be fuel pump related. Maybe I'll try with the filter first. How easy are they to replace? Remember..I'm not the handiest here, so should I go somewhere to get this done? How much am I looking at for a fuel pump replaced in a garage/or by doing it with some help?

Well I hope it's not the fuel pump, and before throwing that money and time at it, I'd inspect the plugs and wires. Typically that's going to be the cause of any "bucking" and hesitation while accelerating. If they check out fine, I'd start looking at fuel. Being a 99, the filter's inside the tank. Despite the extra pennies, it'd be worthwhile to replace the filter AND pump since you're going to be in there anyway. That's my diagnosis, and all are worthwhile fixes for the longevity of your vehicle.

jessiejeep: I know it sounds overwhelming. If I were you I would dismiss the fuel pump for now. Just do the easier stuff like wires, plugs, etc. for a simple tune up. Then if it doesn't fix it you can move on to the more expessive things.
