Default engine died

tonight while driving home from work my 96 cherokee sport just died while going 60 mph down the highway. It didn't sputter or anything just died but the radio and lights all stayed on. I pulled over and tried cranking it three times but would not start. Let it set for maybe 1 minute and it started and ran fine all the way home. Any idea why this may have happened?

What was the weather like when it happened? Hot, wet?
How much gas did you have?
Engine temp at the time?

Cps or camshaft position sensor would be my guess.

Well there goes that theory. I was thinking it might have been a short (wet), vapor lock (hot weather/low gas), or engine overheated. Maybe the CPS had one of those random issues. Has it ever given you trouble?

no. this was the first time. I checked the fuel pressure at the rail and had 45 pounds so I think my fuel pump is ok.

my old jeep did almost the exact same thing and it wound up being the fuel pump relay going bad....if it does it again try pulling the relay and tapping it on something and plugging it back it.
