Engine Date Code
OK... so following the Lord of RENIX steps... you know THESE:
https://www.cherokeeforum.com/f51/cr...x-tips-153657/
( OK I have the MOST respect for CRUISER54, otherwise I would not follow these to the letter! )
My date code appears to maybe a rebuilder's number all I have is: 3 7 02
and some type of squiggle, gear, some crazy little emblem in the bottom left.
Any ideas, guesses, ouija board answers?
Thanks and Happy New Year!
Yep, I'm an older boring Jeep nut. I am messing with my Comanche in the garage on NYE. ( But I am streaming stuff on the extending display of my laptop so it's not totally sad. )

This is the best it could do....copper spray a gasket used in attempt to help reveal what was there...
I can see the MX now but this thing really looks like it was machined down once...maybe?
So my other work tonight. Two additional grounds added. All relays under the cover removed & cleaned. Coil/ICU removed cleaned ( pretty clean connections surprisingly).b Ballast resister removed/cleaned. Distributor connector CLEANED (yuck). Relay on driver's side down from ballast resister removed and cleaned (it was pretty nasty) (can't remember what it does). Ground in tail light head stripped right off (bad words said).
Anywho......
