Technically it's illegal since you've removed factory emissions equipment. Check the forum rules regard catalytic converter removal. Not sure if they check what you're supposed to have versus your VIN in your area.

Pay attention to Federal laws concerning emissions.

So you want to convert it from California (+ 50 states) emissions exhaust system to a 2000 XJ Federal emissions exhaust sytem, with only one downstream catalytic converter and two Oxygen Sensors?

What year engine did you use as the replacement engine? What is the cylinder head casting number?

If you want to change to the 2000 XJ Federal Emissions exhaust sytem you'll need:

The entire exhaust system, down to and including, the Catalytic Converter.

A 2000 XJ Federal Emissions PCM.

A 2000 XJ Federal Emissions wiring harness.

Put it back to the way it was, then it will run right. It's jackholes that make statements like yours that make us all look bad.
