Default bad window motor?

My driver side window will not go up or down. It doesnt even make a sound. So today i received my new master switch and now the passengers can use their switch to power the window up or down. A year ago I replaced my driver side window regulator/motor with a dorman. I'm now thinking it crapped the bed. I'm waiting on my dad to bring me his voltmeter to determine if it's bad or not. I'm willing to bet it's toast because I checked all the wires from the boot and none were frayed or cut.

Wait for the meter for proper diagnosis.

Why wait for your dad? I'd suggest buying a cheap, classic meter for $15 or $20, so you have one of your own. It should last twenty years, at least. I bought a more expensive meter, one of those autoranging types with led display, but find it is not better than a cheapie.

That said, I still borrow tools from my dad, and he is 90.

This will sound stupid, but I PROMISE you it's worth checking:

The wires that lead from the driver's door to the inside of the Jeep.

Seriously, open up the wire sheathing and you'll see for yourself, they're probably all cracked open and frayed.

i had several broken wires including my window lockout switch wire, speaker wire, door lock wire and master switch wires.

Just trust me on this and take a look. You'll see.
