Check all the fuses for power in and out with key in run position . Sounds like fuseable link or Ignition switch issue .

Ignition switch replacement time it sounds like. You may also have to do some rebuilding to the harness also if this is the case.

Good ^^ call.

The switch up above the column under the dash is probably burned up.

Besides the switch...off your starter relay there by the battery is a "fan" of about 5 fusible links. Easy enough to just tale a look and see if anything looks burnt there. (Like freedgr mentioned)

That is what my other 88 looked like when I started having troubles. I found if I wiggled the key, things would come back to life. It also had A/C and all the other extra load. Replaced the switch and connector and it was happy again.

I have doubts it's the key. Something to fix anyway though...

The fusible links off the start relay are not "cables". Actually the wire in them is sized smaller then the rest. That's the idea, they will fry before the rest of "whatever" circuit. It might be the insulation on those might be different as well. (fire resistant)

Not that it's likely, but it IS easy to to just take a look. There might be five of them. Off a large stud on the start relay. See than they look and feel OK.

My 90 may have had a problem there...The original owner or someone, a shop did something to it "for" my mom while I was out of town.....

Not that it's likely, but it IS easy to to just take a look!
