Default Electrical help

I have a 94 Xj pretty much stock. I have only had it for a couple weeks and I knew when I got it that it had electrical issues. Does anyone know a good source for a wiring schematic? I have a Haynes manual that the previous owner gave me but the schematic in that manual is almost as helpful as a kindergarten coloring book.

A little off- topic, but I've got to ask.

Have you checked the level and condition of all your fluids on this "new" Jeep yet?

I have checked some of the fluids, I know the engine oil is due in about 500 because the sticker is still in the windshield and the prev owner said he changed it (or had it changed) every 3k. As far as axles and transfer its on my ever increasing list. It was his wife who used it as a dd and with two infants he did his best to keep up on it, which is why he so quickly jumped on my minivan for a trade. My Chrysler t&c had half the miles as this jeep but I still feel I got the better deal. I will be going through the brakes soon because they feel weak and the fluid looked like mud.

You think the trans is bad, you should do a search on "98 chrysler t&c wont start" or "speedo dont work". I had a point where it would not crank the engine, door locks lock and unlock repeatedly, and gauges wouldn't work, all at the same time. I could drive it everyday for a week or two or three without a problem then suddenly it would not start and I would have to wait anywhere from 15 mins to a couple days before it would crank again. I even opted to drive my dads worn out 84 corvette rather than the van. I finally figured out how to fix it (fingers crossed) and didnt spend thousands of dollars like many who took it to shops and even chrysler service centers. Almost everybody who owned a 97-98 t&c have had this problem. Chrysler wont even acknowledge this is a problem because the stupid problem is so intermittent.

Go Chrysler!!!

Go Chrysler!!!
Instrument cluster pins needed re-soldering I'll bet.
Up here in the rust belt there's another big issue with those Gen III vans- disappearing strut mounts.
Owner doesn't notice until the nose of the van drops with the strut lodged under the wiper shelf and the front tire locks up, lol. They rot right through. I caught it on DW's GV and installed the repair caps when I replaced the struts.

84 corvette is the better choice anyway, lol. It will run forever with minimal maintenance. You need a differential manometer to set up the crossfire injection, and the dash needs caps every 10 years or so, but outside that they are simple as pie, rarely break and return 27-28 MPG on the highway. I've owned three of them. Lotta fun for not much cash, they're seriously cheap right now.
