Hey everyone, I am new to the Jeep world with my 2001 XJ and I love it so far but the thing is to b a more reliable to the point I can start to mod and use my Jeep for trails and stuff I need to figure out this electrical problem I have. I am good mechanically but electrically I am not so that is why I am reaching out for noob stuff to check. I have replaced the battery cables and everything with the kit from Jeepcables and then got an aftermarket battery holder. So apart from those and checking for fuses I am at a loss for what to do so any input would be great. TIA!

 

 

You'd be surprised at how often it turns out to the the glovebox light staying on.

I don't think so.
Since that is a '01 it would be CA Emissions.
That is by the AC drier so I think that is the bracket that might hold the purge solenoid thing.
And guessing the connector is for it.

 

I stand corrected. Orientation threw me off. This thing, then? Leak Detection Pump. Hard to find a good image of this thing installed.

 

No I stand corrected. LOL.
Leak Detection Pump. That is what I meant.
All XJ's have the purges solenoid thing but only CA Emissions XJ's have the Leak Detection Pump to the best of my knowledge.
